Support the Work

Giving.

Every gift, large or small, helps us worship, serve our neighbourhood, and leave a legacy for generations to come.

Scripture
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Our Philosophy

Generosity as a response to grace.

At Edmonton Methodist Church, we believe that generosity is not just about money — it is a response to God's grace. Everything we have is a gift, and giving is our way of participating in God's work in Edmonton and beyond.

Your contributions keep our doors open, support our community food hub, fund our youth and children's ministries, and help us renovate our building for the next century. We are deeply grateful for every person who gives faithfully, quietly, and cheerfully to sustain this family.

A Word of Encouragement

Leave a legacy for future generations.

When we think about giving to the church, it is easy to think only of the present — keeping the lights on, paying the bills, running this Sunday's Junior Church. And those things are vital.

But the building project we are undertaking is about something larger. It is about stewardship across generations. It is about ensuring that a hundred years from now, another multicultural congregation will gather in this same hall on Fore Street, singing the same hymns, hearing the same good news, and finding the same welcome we have found.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain."
— PSALM 127:1

We are not building this for ourselves. We are building it for those who will come after us. We are laying foundations we may never see the full fruit of, and that is exactly what faith looks like.

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain."
— 1 CORINTHIANS 15:58

Whether you can give £5 or £500, your gift matters. It is a tangible declaration that you believe in the future of this church, and in the God who sustains it. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your partnership in this work.

Scripture
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." — GALATIANS 6:9
