At Edmonton Methodist Church, ministry isn't something a few people do — it's something we all share. Across more than ten active ministries, members of every age and background find ways to grow in faith, build friendships, and serve our neighbours.
Whether you're bringing your children to Junior Church, joining the choir on a Sunday morning, serving at the Community Food Hub, or finding fellowship with others from your homeland — there's a place here for you.
Explore the ministries that make up our life together. Each one is led by volunteers and members of our congregation — and each one is always looking for more hands, hearts, and voices.
Fun, safe, Bible-based sessions every Sunday where children encounter Jesus through story, song and play.
Getting On with God — a vibrant community of young people seeking faith, friendship and purpose together.
A warm space for women to grow in faith, share life, and support one another through study, prayer and friendship.
Brotherhood, Bible study and honest conversation — a place for men to walk alongside one another in faith.
Our choir leads worship with joy every Sunday — gospel, hymns, and contemporary songs from many traditions.
Sharing the good news of Jesus in word and deed — locally across Edmonton and globally through partner churches.
Small groups meeting across the week to read Scripture together, ask hard questions, and pray for one another.
Confidential support, hospital visits, prayer, and practical help — because no one at EMC walks through hard seasons alone.
A rich expression of worship, prayer and community — rooted in Ghanaian heritage, open to all. One of the most vibrant strands of our multicultural congregation.
The Ghanaian Fellowship exists to nurture the spiritual growth of Ghanaian members of EMC while sharing the richness of our heritage with the wider congregation. We worship in spirit and in truth — bringing together the hymns of Methodist tradition with the songs, rhythms and prayers of West Africa.
Our vision is simple: to honour God, to strengthen one another, and to be a light to our neighbours — whatever our background.
Services blend traditional Methodist order with vibrant Ghanaian worship — extended praise, responsive prayer, Scripture read in English and Twi, and preaching that speaks directly to daily life. After worship, fellowship continues over shared food and conversation.
All are welcome — whether you are Ghanaian, from another nation, or simply curious. Come as you are.
Rebecca has led the Ghanaian Fellowship since its formation, shaping it into one of the most welcoming and spiritually rich communities at EMC. Her vision has been to create a space where heritage and faith walk hand in hand — where the songs of Accra and the hymns of Wesley belong at the same altar.
"The fellowship is more than a meeting," she says. "It is a home within a home — a place where we remember where we come from, and where we are going together in Christ."
